Jon Gruden Madden 08/09 playbook

Anyone got the formations of his last playbook when he coached? The closet I can come to on Madden 18 of what he runs is West Coast generic and Washington.

Gruden wont run his old offense.

Gruden was very heavy on 21 personnel, more I-Twins than anything. Power running (sweeps, power Os, Isos, etc.), 5 step passing game, horizontal stretch across the intermediate area... I expect he'll evolve a lot, that's really not the game today. Pedersen, Jay Gruden, Reid, and Shanahan run the closest things to his style. Basically the modern West Coast guys... though Jon's west coast system was a sort of hybrid of the West Coast and '90s Dallas style power running.

If I had to guess, I think he'll go 12 instead of 21, singleback wing slot. He likes twins to the weak side, and a wing is basically the modern FB.

I'd go Pedersen and replace the zone runs with power runs.

Or just run Spider 2 Y Banana every play.

That will be definitely different next year.
In today's NFL and especially with Carr there will be more Shotgun-Plays, but in general that has changed in the last 10 years.
