kicking meter lag

I have gotten used to the kicking meter, but about once or twice a game on a FG or PAT it severely lags coming back down resulting in me mistiming and hooking the kick way off. I understand if it did this on long (45+ yard) field goals, but I've missed 2 PATS and a 30 yard field goal in my last 3 games

Or worse, xbox decides it needed to record a highlight. Ive misses more kicks than i can count from that popup.

Are you playing offline/online? if offline, try switching your TV settings to GAME. My other TV had a bad delay/lag during FG's that was fixed by switching the settings to GAME.
