Depends on what you mean by on par. I think it does what it sets out to do very well.

Honestly I would love a collaboration between EA and Nintendo similar to Ubisoft and Nintendo with the Mario+Rabbids Kingdom battle.

Imagine Backyard Football but with Nintendo characters. 7 on 7 fast paced gameplay.

I know many people are not a fan of this mode, but this has so much potential which nobody can deny. The thing that will always hold this back is the forced storyline and forcing players down a path that isn't their own. Like from things I saw on YouTube, if you failed at certain things they just made you retry until you did it right to fit the storyline. It wasn't anything like if you failed, it effected how the rest of the story plays out.

The faster they get away from a forced storyline and creating your own path with your own player then this will be good.

I wish the ending would stick. I can't imagine playing as him on the Jaguars, and Colt was on the Titans, would have been cool to see him twice a year.
