How's your Franchise going? - Madden 19 Edition

1-1 in preseason. I may restart, depends on when we get a roster update because some guys who are signed IRL are still in the FA pool (like Vaccaro).

I'm pretty impressed with this, compared to 17.

Simmed a season game by game as the Giants, stopping to do practice drills for XP and scouting.

Offseason FA: signed a good RT (name escapes me, bidding war with the Redskins), re-signed Odell & Landon Collins to 5 year deals to hopefully line up perfect with a rookie QB contract extension down the road. Also signed the fully recovered Ryan Shazier (need LB help bad) to a big deal. Minor signings along with those.

Round 1: Landed Warren Meier, QB out of Alabama, 78 OVR at pick 13 (Giants supersim went 7-9 or 8-8 can’t recall). 21 yrs, 6’6, 91 THP, 91/83/76 accuracies, 84 play action, quick dev.

Round 2: Anthony Kraft - star dev LT (moving him to C) 79 ovr

Round 3: 78 ovr DT DeSean Thierry. 94 Str, 84 BsH, 81 tak ready to rock and roll and learn with Snacks Harrison.

Round 4: Quick dev RB Frederick Hartman for depth behind Barkley, I let most of the other RB go. I don’t recall his stats specifically. 73 ovr.

Round 5 & 6 I traded away for picks next year.

Round 7: I selected a kicker and a FB. 76 and 69 ovr respectively.

I should note I changed the offensive scheme, the QB I drafted was a field general. The prior scheme called for a strong arm I believe. I was not a big fan of the strong arm QBs in the class.

Quite a haul to star alongside Barkley, Odell, Shepherd, Collins, Snacks, etc. The Giants shall be a legit challenger. I’ll start the season this weekend.

I would have started already, but I’m running a small FB league too, had to get that going for the guys who are participating.

They released a new roster today, so I restarted. I was only 2 games into preseason anyway.

Cowboys as always! Signed Thomas again to fill the hole at TE. I plan to look to the draft for a new one. I may still try to trade for Earl Thomas. I notice a LOT of my guys don't fit my scheme (vertical threat), including all but one WR and most lineman, and even QB. So I may change it.

EDIT: apparently my scheme is a 92% fit overall...guess I'll keep it.

Hired a new scout (mine was lvl 19, hired 29), and new trainer (mine was lvl 8, hired lvl 30). Should be helpful when it comes to the draft and regression
