Re: How's your Franchise going? - Madden 19 Edition

Lost Andrew Luck relatively early against CIN and dropped our 2nd straight losing 31-9. We’re now 5-2 and our starting QB is out 6 weeks with a broken ankle. Hilton is out 2 more weeks as well.

Hopefully Brissett can keep us in games as we set making the playoffs as our season goal.

We lose 30-22 to the Cowboys and are season is pretty much over at 5-8. Stinks as we dominated them but had 3 INT's, two of them returned for TD's.

I saw a decent amount of penalties called this game which ticked me off cause a few killed drives for me, but color me surprised.

We could be so good next season but I think I might be fired since I told the owner we would go 11-5.

Now I guess we get to play spoiler.

Quick question guys, I'm late to the Madden party this year, how does this progression system handle player traits?

Think I read that players have a chance to improve their development trait, but what about traits to drops open passes?

I got a rookie that has that trait and it kills me, what are the chances he grows out of it?

Same for other traits like sideline catches, different catch types, etc

Re: How's your Franchise going? - Madden 19 Edition

Wins against the Ravens and Vikings have taken us to 11-0. Rogers picked the Ravens apart throwing for four touchdowns in three quarters with no INTs (a miracle), allowing CJ Navjar to bat clean-up in the fourth, adding 100 yards and two TDs of his own to the mix. Our D shut Jackson down entirely, and their rushing game never got off the ground. The only downside was losing MVS for four weeks due to (you guessed it) a shoulder tear.

Next up was a trip to the Twin Cities to play the Vikings, who we annihilated a few weeks previous. Cousins was much more conseravative this time, refusing to gift us any Pick-6es like our last meeting. This one was the polar opposite of the game against the Ravens, as our running game carried the day. KeJuan Office, our second year HB, rushed for over 100 yards and two TD's, with Aaron Jones chipping in 60 yards as well. Our rookie TE Russell Lastnameescapesme caught his tenth touchdown of the game to cap off a 21-7 win.

Next up: The Lions.

Re: How's your Franchise going? - Madden 19 Edition

We beat the Jets in NY, 20-12 and after Rosen has a horrible start, we start Kizer in the 2nd half and he carries us to the win. He has that scrambling ability in addition to his arm and has played well for us. QB controversy brewing? Kizer will start next week at home against the Patriots who just crushed the Steelers 42-3.

We now sit at 6-8 and although no playoffs this season, a .500 record might possibly save my job.

New York Giants Franchise 2019

Hey guys, I just came back to Madden after a few years off. Got the game for Christmas and have been messing around with different teams/sliders since. Let me preface this by saying I’m a Jets fan from NY and I actually root against the Giants in real life lol. I wanted to pick a team that had some nice weapons on offense and needed to draft a QB so I could draft the kind I wanted. I chose NYG because of Barkley, Beckham and Engram. Even Sheppard is solid too.

So I simmed through 2018 and we finished 5-11. Eli retired so I didn’t have to worry about trying to dump him. I resigned Landon Collins and Rosas to 4 yr deals. In FA I got some help in the secondary by signing CB Trevor Williams and FS Marcus Gilchrist. I had scouted the mobile stud QB that I wanted and I decided to trade up from 7 to 4 just to insure I’d get him. The new starting QB for the NYG is #8 Nate Hess from Stanford(6’3” 224 lbs) a 78 OVR with good throw power(92), decent accuracy and blazing speed(88). In the 3rd round I took a flyer on the WR that had the fastest 40 time at the combine... The new slot WR for the NYG is Malik Ingram(6’1” 176) from Houston 77 OVR, Lighting speed(97) and decent catch and route running. This guy is going to be like our version of Tyreek Hill and he’s really just a bonus with all our other weapons. The rest of the draft I filled some other needs on defense(DL, LB) and offensive line( C, RT). I’ll post my first update shortly as we have already entered week 3 of the season...

NYG Franchise 2019:

Week 1 NYG @ BUF

NYG 48- BUF 20

Apparently in the off-season the Bills signed Tyrod Taylor and made him the starter over Allen. I don’t mess with CPU decisions so it’s just going to have to play itself out. Didn’t work so well for them in the opener as we absolutely destroyed them.

What a debut for my new offensive rookies. Hess goes 24 for 31 for 377 yards, 4 TD, 1 INT and runs for 81 yards on 7 carries. Ingram catches 6 passes for 187 Yards and 4 TD!! All 4 of his scores were from outside of the Red Zone using his blazing speed including 3 scores over 40 yards! Unbelievable showing in their NFL debuts on the road against a strong defense.

Barkley had 75 yards and 2 TD on 20 carries and added 9 catches for 52 yards. Beckham added 6 grabs for 109 yards.

Defense played pretty well. We had two sacks and forced 1 INT while surrendering 20 points. 2019 and the post-ELI era off to a great start.

Next up in week 2 is our home opener vs NE and their rookie QB after TB 12 retired after last season.
