Anyone have a resemblance to a good defense?

I'm doing all-pro with Matt10's sliders. My defense has been decent (Cowboys), but not shut down at all. I crushed SF, then had Cincy expose some holes. So far, with his sliders, it's been a decent balance.

Man coverage seems broken right now, every time I call it the cpu will call some out route or in route and is always opened as my CB freezes

For the first time since ive played Madden, and ive played it since the first Madden came out, I have decided to go with the Coaches Suggestion for calling the Defense, and Ive done markedly better. I also play No Switch, and make sure I play what is assigned for my controlled player.

Does your defenses actually cover deep? I've been playing several games and my safeties and corners don't seem to actually cover deep. First I thought it was just the receivers (Mike Wallace) speed doing it, but the tight ends and other slower receivers have been doing so as well. Just curious if I need to change something up or stick with it

No my secondary plays deep all the time, which is probably why the cpu throws underneath too much. But then the moment I play press coverage they throw deep on me so it’s like a lose lose scenerio lol

In other words the CPU is playing smart football.

That's a good thing imo.

I do agree, I like the challenge. However I do also like to see true ratings play and it kinda sucks when you do a jags franchise or rams franchise with good defenses and you keep getting smoked lol

Yeah I hear you. I've had a lot of game where I got smoked with having really good defenses. Sometimes the game can be really frustrating.
