Will players "not interested" in resigning, end up resigning?

I'd say if you really want this guy and think he's worth the tag, then go for it and try to resign him the following season. Worst case scenario: if you can't resign him the following season, you can always trade him before the deadline. At least you'll get half a season out of him.

Yes. The negotiation just opens up again the next season.

I had to tag Deforest Buckner two offseasons in a row, because we couldn't come to an agreement on a contract, and then the 3rd season, I was able to lock him up.
