lol someone took this too literally. The point is that the slider needs to get fixed because there shouldn't be a 20 mill limit. We should be able to choose how much salary and how much bonus we give without having limits other than club finances (i.e. Raiders) and the salary cap.

EA is probably too scared to increase the cap, because it might break something else in the game code.

I may be wrong, but I think the bonus is a one-time thing, so his bonus is 20 mil stretched out over the 4 years, so he's getting 5 mil in bonus each year, not 20. I believe it's either that, or he gets the 20 mil straight up the first season, then no bonus after that unless he reworks the deal.

But for Madden purposes, I think it's 5+5+5+5.

Na in Madden it's 20 + 20 + 20 + 20. But it isn't really how a signing bonus works in real life either though haha.

We really need a section for Guaranteed Money, with that being tracked by player and position. Just look at the QB market this offseason, Rodgers waited until Matt Ryan had his deal, and wanted more than Ryan. It would be more realistic to have guys asking to be paid as the best in their position and you have to figure out if they are worthy of it. Bell right now is holding out for an insane amount of money the Steelers won't give him but someone else is going to make him the highest paid RB in the league next offseason.

In Madden terms signing bonus is guaranteed money. It gets added to the salary then the overall deal is backloaded and indicated in this thread. https://forums.operationsports.com/f...ct-values.html

Unfortunately whoever does the contracts for the roster doesn't understand this and there are tons of inaccurate contracts at least partially due to this.

I definitely agree we need to be able to track and see contracts build upon each other in total and guaranteed money as well as be able to see the franchise tender before we have to use it.

Is it best to sign players in the offseason for tracking purposes? Fletcher Cox has the highest bonus among interior players at 32M but I took control of the Rams in my offline franchise so I could re-sign Donald and gave him 40 (week 17). However, on the salary screen, it doesn't show that yet Cox still has 32m showing in week 1 of free agency.

Fixing the cap/contract issues would cause all kickers and punters to change from to L to R foot, or vice versa.
