Free Agents disappear in CFM

Anyone know why this happens? No matter what guys like Dez & Maclin vanish from free agency once you advance past the pre season.

From what I've seen, they get signed. Check your transactions log.

Just checked & nothing. I’m doing full 32 team control, but letting cpu do final cuts. Idk if that has anything to do with it or not.

You have to sign them to a team and cut them after the start of the regular season.

It's been discussed a bit on here. The game limits how many players there are total, including free agents. It starts deleting players (essentially "retiring" them) based on an algorithm that accounts for their overall, age, and some other factors. The algorithm is far from perfect. So in some cases, Dez "retires" when he doesn't get signed.
