How to force trade inside online CFM?

With Gordon going to the Patroits, I want to update my roster. However, I'm not starting over at this point. I've reduced his ratings as far as possible but the CPU refuses to trade him. Any ideas?

Go to the next week after reducing his ratings. It takes a week before they really evaluate him based on those new ratings. He may get cut though if you drop him too far.

Make one of your guys a 99 overall, advance the week, trade him, reduce his overall back down

The easiest way would be to create a new character as the browns owner. After you do that trade Josh Gordon to the Pats, then retire your character you created so you don't have to manage that team as well. I've done it before, that's how I shipped Mack to the Bears in my Lions CFM, I was already a few weeks in and didn't want to restart.

Surprised as administrator you can't control that. Maybe add another account to select as the team you do the deal with

Been there. This is what I think you did: you changed his ratings then tried to trade him immediately. You have to advance a week in order for the game to recognize the new ratings. If you change a 99 guy to a 12, the game still recognizes him as a 12. When you jump a week, then he’s recognized as a 12

Or you can take control of both Cleveland and NE and force the trade. Then retire the characters. I don’t care about owner mode so I would take control as a owner make the trade then retire.
