Madden 19 Captain Star - On Field

For those that have played the game … is there anything in settings that can disable this, it is an eyesore to me. I like the game as clean looking as possible, I find the star (Captains star?) under all the captains annoying!

I think at some point there will be a mod to remove it (for PC).

The easy fix for the user is to assign captain status to players who rarely see the field. Unfortunately, that doesn't help regarding the team you're playing against. I'm pretty O.C.D. about having a clean-looking game as well, so I view it as a rather silly and arcade-like eyesore and completely unnecessary.

Hmmm, glad I'm not alone on this. I typically play Play Now against the cpu - I wonder if turning off player name/position underneath the players will remove the stars. Has anybody tried that?

The captain patches are something they added to make the game more realistic. How is that a problem.

Because the OP has nothing to do with the authentic captains patches that go on jerseys. You don’t see a glowing star underneath Tom Brady when you watch Thursday night football on your couch and people don’t want to see it in their NFL video game that they play either.
