Throwing Touch Pass-PS4

Can someone help me. How do I throw a touch pass over a DB when running a corner route? Whenever I run a corner route my WR will have the DB beat by 5 yds and I am having trouble throwing it over the top of the DB to hit the open WR. What buttons on PS4 should I hit to do this?

You simply can not. "Precision passing" is nothing more than a joke in madden. About the only thing you can use touch pass on is a slant or a drag. Anything deeper and it takes so long for the ball to get there, defenders close in on it and int it, knock it down, to knock it out of wrs hands.

And forget a touch pass over an LB but underneath a saftey. You simply cant do it . Its pretty horrible this is not fixed.However i hear the nectar mod on pc fixes it and that was made by 1 person.....Go figure 1 person can fix it , but multi million $ company can not ...

I think High Point passing is about the only effective passing method to get the ball over a defender.

Lobs can work down the middle of the field, IF there is no safety within what seems to be about 50 yards..lol

I get many completions are deeper passes. Not always and sometimes i get them intercepted but i have decent success on deep balls whether it is a nine route or a PA post.
If you have your speed treshold up high then you probably wont have much success and why i like the speed ratings to matter. I have mine on 50.

Sadly, as another poster said, it is nearly impossible to simply lay the ball int the outstretched arms of your receiver. Pretty much, the only way you can do so is if (a) the receiver is 4 times faster than the defender and (b) you're running a go route. Even then it is hit or miss.

On PS4 you need to use the left bumper (sorry if I am using the wrong term) to throw the high pass. Conversely, use the left trigger (again, sorry if I'm using the wrong term) to throw a low pass.

L1 + corresponding WR Icon for a high pass
L2 + corresponding WR button for a low pass

They could be reversed.

I thought a touch pass is when you double tap the players icon? But like what most people say it’s hard to do any of it being the cpu defender will get that last second speed burst to knock it down or int it.

Most of my throws nowadays in madden are short passes cause that’s all that is opened for me.
