Do you wish EA would have never went to the Frostbite engine for Madden?

I look at the madden games before 18 arguably I believe many would agree the gameplay felt more polished. I personally enjoyed the ignite engine. Do you wish they stuck with it iron you think we can still have hope for the Frostbite?

After listening to a video on another thread it would be safe to say that top of EA doesn't care about gameplay only money made.

the ignite system is just a collection of animations that can go inside any engine and the frostbite engine is probably best designed for scenarios like football - or anything where its a similar/same process going on.

No, I'm glad they went to frostbite for graphics, much improved imo. It feels different because of RPM in 19 which wasn't in 18. It's the same ignite engine. Ppl forget that FIFA had it's challenges & hiccups the first yr of RPM. I forgot that and my guy Roadman reminded me. I'll be surprised if RPM is back next yr tbh.

To me it seems like the physics took a step back with frostbite. Imo worse from 18 to 19.

I feel like Frostbite was a decision made with the long term in mind. What we saw at first was the immediate graphical improvement which was near universally appreciated.

However, what we are seeing now is a couple years of growing pains of laying the foundations of this new engine. Could the problems continue? Yes. Could the engine itself truly be horrific? Yes.

Though, I think as time goes on, provided that IF EA continues to build on this engine framework in each of its games, its games could improve substantially because of the shared resources and systems. RPM and Longshot type modes are just the beginning I believe. They do need to build off these though. EA can't just abandon the features they put in games anymore.

When I first thought about it, I wasn't sure because frostbite was introduced as an engine to take advantages of the environment, specifically coming from battlefield. I was confused as to why they would want a set of tools used from an FPS for a sports game.

Then EA did its spiel and I thought maybe this proven set of tools would be good to have across it's platform of games. A set formality of sorts.

As things have started to trickle out, it's clear that my initial feelings were right as this engine has been said to be difficult to adapt into the different genres of games.
