Blocked Field Goals

Just had my game winning field goal blocked for the second consecutive game. Anybody else had this experience?

Stupid things just seem to happen constantly in clutch moments. Feels like Fifa scripting.

Re: Blocked Field Goals

Do you alter how long you hold X then release on them? I got 4 kicks blocked in my first 6 games or so then varied when I would release X to snap the ball and I think I have only had 1 punt blocked in my last 15-20 games. It seems to help.

If you hit it with perfect accuracy it can't be blocked.

Which is crazy imo, but a necessary evil when they have animation based block sequences. At this point, I'm afraid of even kicking field goals.

Does that actually do anything or is it just a coincidence?

So frustrating though. I should be 4-2 and instead I'm 2-4. INTs and fumbles seem to be more common in the clutch too.

I don't believe in god but 4th quarter shenanigans are for real. I don't care what the code says.

Re: Blocked Field Goals

I haven't had a blocked FG yet in 20 but in 19... let's just say that FGs were not automatic. And you knew it was about to happen... when there was that slight stutter just after the ball is snapped.

I'm not really sure if it's just a coincidence or not. I can tell you I haven't had the amount of blocks I had when I would just press X an release. I'll let you know if I get a string of blocks doing it but so far it has seemed to help.
