Question about Carolina defense

Does anyone know if the panthers are playing 4-3 defense or a 3-4. In madden they are set as 4-3, but I saw other website depth charts 3-4. Anybody know?

It's going to be more of a hybrid 3-4 this year than a traditional 4-3 w/ Rivera taking over playcalling duties for the defense this year.

Tiburon added in the ability to update playbook content late in Madden 19's life cycle. That tech was carried over into Madden 20.

Gameplay designer Anthony White has already mentioned on Twitter that Tiburon will be adding some 3-4 fronts to Carolina's defensive playbook once they play a couple preseason games.

Book will probably end up similar to DET or NE depending on which Nickel sets they go with.

I've been using the DET book. Their official depth chart put out today shows them as a 34. They play a lot of nickel though, especially big nickel, likely with Gaulden in three nickel spot. That formation will likely have 4 down linemen

For what it's worth, they just released the first unofficial depth chart and it looks as if 3-4 will be their base as of right now.

GAH I can't wait to see this defense on the field. Probably the best defense we've had on paper since '03

EDIT: Just read Jr.'s comment above about the unofficial depth chart, so yeah, what he said lol

They are definitely a multiple 3-4, I chose the Patriots playbook. Wish we had the ability to designate 4-3 ends vs 3-4 ends.
