Please add an option to hide OVR in franchise

This would go a long way to fixing immersion on my end. I’d prefer to judge players based on their attributes without feeling like I’m making a bad choice if I start someone with a lower OVR than the backup. Preseason cuts would be much more interesting as well.

I don't think this is every going to happen because the overall ratings are a great marketing tool for them. Just look at social media every year when the game is released. You don't really see anyone arguing position specific ratings it's just a constant back and forth how this person's overall is to high this guys is to low etc... People debating overall ratings on social media is free promotion for them.

Personally I only use the overall rating as a basic guide or a starting point for personnel decisions. I will gladly start someone with a lower overall, or sign someone with a lower overall if they have better measurables for the role I want to use them for. I start players with lower overalls all of the time.

I also think they need overall ratings there to help the CPU make better personnel decisions. I would imagine without overall it would be tough to program cpu roster management logic. It also probably helps some of the more casual gamers manage their roster.

True, it wouldn't be a bad option to have. I've just grown accustomed to mentally blocking out the overall when making decisions regarding my depth chart.

I would like a scouting office function where you don't accurately see other roster, free agent and new rookie attributes accurately unless you have an A+ scout.
