Breakout Player in CFM question

Just wanted to find out if anyone knew if these guys were predetermined for each team? If not, anyone have an idea as to how each is chosen?

I’ve played around in Franchise and Higgins was chosen each time for me as the Browns.

Good question. Some might be.

I had a rookie in my 2nd year get mentored by a veteran left tackle.

And then my first year, and my second, it was WR Parris Campbell

I don't think they are predetermined at all.

I got a breakout scenario with Cowboys third-year CB Chidobe Awuzie the other day after he got his second pick-six of the season for me on the road against the Giants.

Around my online league, I've seen other users in my franchise get breakout scenarios for OLB Jerome Baker, RE Takkarist McKinley, TE Jake Butt, and WR Marquez Valdez-Scantling.

I speculate that they are chosen based on statistical production relative to OVR rating and dev trait level, but I don't have any evidence to support that.

Different players triggered for me when I re-rolled a franchise so I don’t think it’s pre-determined. So far I’ve seen RB, WR, DT, and CB.

I believe all had a huge game before the scenario event popped up but I wasn’t really keeping track.

I've seen 2 for TE's and 1 for a FS. Two of those players were drafted guys (one in his 3rd season and the other in his first) so I doubt it was predetermined.

I got the star dev trait for Braxton Miller based off production alone. I moved him to QB for the super bowl against the browns in certain packages and completely shredded them on the ground, air, and with him lined up at WR. Had him at KR/PR too. Lethal.

Also had Guice go from star to superstar same year.

No breakout player message in either. Just production. Really nice

Could be a lil bit scripted based on position. I have dominated with my QB, 5,6,7 8 TDs in one game, had the breakout in all the positions mentioned but not the QB. I always using Jackson 22 of age from buffalo bills
