Madden 21 Cover and release date leaked?

Lamar seems obvious and the date is a Tuesday which checks out.

Lamar is almost a surefire choice for cover. Like Vick, his style of play is representation of how many gamers play. That date would match up with how they did last year. Where it gives it a month before regular season starts, don't have to compete directly with other sports games or other major releases in Sept.

Then imagine the Next Gen Version being available at launch of next gen consoles. I didn't follow Madden for a few years after NCAA Football stopped, so I don't how next gen was marketed around the time of Madden before start of current generation. But I imagine similar to last year where most of the info will be released before E3. Then E3 we might get a peak of next gen version

Based on predictable early August release and last year, possibly April. Last year, they pretty much had most stuff revealed April and May. Madden cover was announced at Draft. So I can imagine that being the same. Then at E3 they'll probably reveal biggest features and next gen

They always release the first info around draft time, August 2nd was the release date last year, 4th makes sense. At least it’s backwards compatible so we don’t have to purchase 2 copies for XSX/PS5.

Wonder if EA allows the Smart Delivery feature Series X will have(most likely PS5 as well). That would be very beneficial those who buy the game in August that if they bought next gen console that game would automatically upgrade to next gen version.

Seems to make sense to me, maybe early release would be end of July. Jackson is the easy choice, but at some point it would be nice to see a defensive player on the cover. Hard to happen in today's NFL.

I am not surprised. Am I little concerned. This year continued the high effectiveness of scrambling QBs and it appears there is no end, which isn't really a surprise. Just hope more options are provided on defense to help contain the metas.

Again, another year of wondering if a Drew Brees or Tom Brady will be viable in Head to Head games.


Hope we see the return of the post huddle walk up so on defense we have time to make adjustments. This is more an issue versus the CPU. I feel cheated playing the CPU because I feel a big part of the CPU advantage comes from making it increasingly difficult to adjust on defense.
