I know you can see their trends in the weekly training section, but just curious if there is another way to “study” the team you’ll be playing.

Re: Is there and easy way to Scout your Weekly Opponent in CFM

I try looking at the team stats, depth charts, and individual player ratings to see their strengths and weaknesses, relative to the rest of the league

Yeah I wish they'd go deeper into scouting opponents and weekly gameplans, to make each game feel different. I don't even the think the run/pass percentages they show for the AI team in the game plan menu is accurate

They're not. It's all window dressing and they've been the exact same for every team since that part of game prep was introduced in Madden 17. The numbers will be "accurate" if you're playing a user but they'll only be based on first down plays from the previous game so hardly useful at all.

If you are playing Baltimore, don't look at LJ's stats and think he won't run all over you, because he will. And it sucks to stop.
