Help applying injuries in CFM Madden 21

Hoping someone can help. Just got the game on PS4 and I started a Franchise with the Giants.

How can I get real injuries to show? I want Barkley to be on Injured Reserve like in real life but I don’t see an option to manually apply an injury to him.

I downloaded a roster set that had all updated injuries that showed when I first started. I restarted and now it’s not showing for some reason.

Pre-existing injuries are active.

Any help would be much appreciated!

By restarted I mean I deleted a franchise save. Then started a fresh one and now season ending injuries aren’t showing
