The Legend John Madden Interview

Here is a recent email interview with the 84 year old John Madden.

It's a long read, but a decent one.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...s-nfl-now-more

I thought this snippet was interesting:

I also know in talking to my grandson and his friends that they really enjoy the general manager component. Some of these guys like to build their own teams and they're more interested in being professional general managers than being the pro players. I think that we're also developing that guy, and I think the more that we can go in that direction, the better off we're going to be.

Re: The Legend John Madden Interview

I read it a few days ago and thought about putting the link myself but then I thought, "OS these days...what's the point", but thanks Road, it is something that should be posted here.

How current he seems to be on a lot of what's going on was pleasantly surprising, Clint always talks about how Coach is still touch with the game, but people don't seem to believe him.

If the article helps even a little bit in terms of improving Franchise Mode then that will be nice.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I would 100% agree with that golden nugget above, if it wasn't the only nfl simulation game out there. And I'll add, I saw 3 men and a little lady (for 10 minutes), so I'm supposed to never complain how God Awful it seemed? So as I type this, I realized I could never agree with my right to complain about anything I spent my money on.
I hated nfl 2k5, loved Madden 04, Madden ready hasn't improved play wise in 15 years, Referring to how much fun it is to play.
