The Lamar Jackson leak came out in Early March last year. So it's a possibility. But, there's not clear cut obvious choice like Mahomes or Jackson this year.

I wouldn't mind seeing Aaron Donald on the cover. He's very marketable and has been apart of the past 2-3 Madden pre-game marketing

There's a massive leap from leaking the person (late April last year I thought) and actually having produced and distributed marketing materials, even more of an aberration would be to re-use the prior season's branding.

There was a thread here on March 7 last year about potential pre-order promotion. I believe the Ravens leaked that video prior to the draft and EA made a meme about how the cover athlete leaking himself. Lamar was hesitant to confirm in that video that he was on the video. But by then it was already widely expected that he was the guy

I agree. Almost feels like it has to be defender this year. I don't see them going QB 3 years in a row. They haven't done RB in 7 years. Only logical choice is Henry especially with the Stiff Arm. WR, I don't see a logical choice.

Aaron Donald would be a great choice. He's pretty much the most marketable defender right now.
