I've had no issues - quit the game and turned off the console each time. But if they reset the trials I won't complain either

You need to exit the game and restart, not power off, the console.

It's because of the resume feature the Series X has that this is happening. EA didn't figure this would be a problem.
I think people don’t understand what everyone means by quit the game. I think everyone thinks we are just saying to go back to your Home Screen. You need to press the menu(start button) over the game and click quit and you will be fine. That also ends quick resume.

The MVP and Dynasty editions release in less than 2 days. Tomorrow night basically. They are probably just waiting it out at this point. The only thing they can do is reset everyones time. But thats after they figure out a fix. Either that or just send $5 gift card codes to everyone. Wish they’d just bring EA Play Pro to console. The money isn’t in game sales for them anymore it’s the micro transactions.

People have said they've done this and still lost time. I lost 2 hours of time. Each time I went to the home screen then quit out the app entirely.

Probably 45 minutes of play time and trial expired. Force quit every time.

Unfortunate.

I was thinking something was up. I played 3 hours and started my franchise and lost the rest of my time as well*
