Progressive Fatigue [Auto Vs. Manual]

I searched for this topic and I apologize if this has been answered already.

My question is, what exactly is the difference between Auto or Manual Progressive Fatigue?

With all of the glitches surrounding PF I want to ensure I’ve made a good choice regarding the two. From what I understand selecting “Auto” prior to the most recent update was something of a bandaid fix to the PF bug regarding CPU players beyond mid-season.

However, when I select Auto I am still able to manually adjust practice intensity, reps, etc.

What exactly is the difference between the two and does the choice matter when beginning a new franchise?

Thanks.

Re: Progressive Fatigue [Auto Vs. Manual]

Prior to the most recent patch “auto” was completely bugged.

The CPU logic was heavily flawed in handling the weekly practice intensity.

Now that it has been fixed (yes it is really fixed). I have it set to manual for my team and set to auto for the 31 other CPU teams.

If you run a offline 32 team control you can set the other 31 teams to auto.

If you simply play a solo franchise you can choose if you want to handle the weekly intensity and who gets the reps or let the cpu decide for you by having it set to auto.

The issue was so bad before the fix people were simply shutting off the option to play with progressive fatigue “on”

I highly suggest playing with the feature turned on. It is a very nice feature that allows a dynamic of fatigue and XP and weekly game focus buffs to happen without it being static for every team every week if it were turned off.

Gotcha, I run a solo franchise so I’ll set it to manual. Thanks for the reply

Re: Progressive Fatigue [Auto Vs. Manual]

Has anyone noticed progressive fatigue being an issue for QBs on human controlled teams? I have Josh Allen and ran him a decent amount in Year 1 of my franchise, but no matter what I set the practice intensity to (even half pads + backups), Allen would never get back to even close full fatigue. For the Super Bowl (with a bye week before), he was "very fatigued". Even in Year 2, by Week 4 he's almost red for fatigue again and I'm not running with him nearly as much this season.

Is there a setting I'm missing or am I doing something wrong? Pretty much all of my other players seem to recover fine.
