Do you need to use your online code just to update rosters?

Just wondering before I open it up if the 360 version requires the online code to be used just to update rosters.

Yes you do. You have to put in the code immediately to even access the Online mode. Once there you are able to update the roster.


One way around this is to download the roster update to a flash drive and manually add it. I think someone posted it at this forum somewhere. Hope that makes sense.

I could've swore that I updated the first live roster before I added my online pass code. If it works like NCAA 11 then you don't need an online pass code just for rosters. I did add my online pass code but I remember getting the first roster update before doing so or at least I thought I did.

Hmm, that stinks. I didnt want to burn my online code just for that. I didnt know you could update rosters via usb on the 360.

Take a look at my previous post. I don't think you need the online pass to get roster updates.

hmm. I have a PS3 and I know i had to enter the code first.

But according to the previous post on the 360 you must not need to. I would go with that info.

There is an option for a trial period online, so if you are just going to update once no, but I would wait till week 1 rosters come out.

Ok, so where do I manually look for a roster update. I remember it coming up when starting an online match but there must be another way to do it.
