Fixed! Was an easy fix. exported the coach data from an older working copy and imported it into the latest. No idea why it got corrupt.

Added a modified template.dat file to reduce position roster requirements for Madden 12. See 2nd post for instructions and file.

which version? i had tested in 08 and went through to the next season without issues on an earlier build. havent done extensive testing in 12 since I don't play it.

let me try it out on my emulator.

I just simulated first season in Madden 12 in PPSSPP. I did notice the probowl had blank team vs blank team. I clicked on it and then it just advanced to the next week and i was able to go into offseason. I'm currently signing free agent stage now.

Yea perhaps, but no AFC/NFC teams in the probowl is worrisome. Let me know if you see blank teams too and if you can skip past it. I'll try an 08 season in my PSP at the same time but it takes a while to sim a season.

Interestingly enough, the 2nd season simulated fine and the pro bowl was normal. I even started the game and played a play with no issues.

Going to try again as well from day 1.

BTW are you using the Franchise save or the Roster save and creating a franchise?

Update: it crashed this time for me. Let me try again and see how I skipped past it the first time.

Update 2:
I got to pro bowl screen, press back, then went back and it skipped ahead to super bowl.
I tried it again on my actual psp and same trick worked.
you can also go back and make save just in case.
