Re: Charter04's Madden 13 All-Madden Sim Sliders

I'm starting to like the 75 threshold better. This game they made speed a little to much of a big deal. Example the Steelers LBs aren't fast but very productive in this game they are basically a non factor because of there speed. With the threshold at 75 it makes things more balanced and still the fast guys are still fast just makes the non faster guys matter... With your pass reaction at 0 for the USER and CPU wouldn't it make it almost impossible to pass?

No not at all. Some times I wish I could make it more difficult. It is a challenge but, it's not bad. I had 4,400 yards and 25 TD's this last season with Romo. I had 19 Int's and 8.1 yards per pass.

Re: Charter04's Madden 13 All-Madden Sim Sliders

I decided to lower the QB accuracy to 10 and the Catching to 50. I noticed that a QB I have with lower accuracy was just too accurate. I also noticed that a player with low spectacular catch was making diving catches. At 50 it seems to be working better. Also 10 is not hurting Romo's accuracy. I also lowered Break tackle by 5. These changes are only help the game for me.

Charter, first I want to thank you for the all of the blood, sweat and tears you have put into these sliders, they make the game play so much more realistic and I never tire of playing so I feel like I'm getting my money's worth. That being said, I am the type of player who wants realism and stat accuracy over challenging play. For me, 75% of the fun in CCM mode is taking a team and building it into a juggernaut. my biggest pet peeve is watching a mediocre to downright horrible player dominate a superstar in a game...for example my 98 rated left tackle who has 95 strength, mid 90's run and pass block, and mid 80's agility and accel should absolutely own DE and olb's with stats in the mid to high 60's. Luckily I have not seen these issues with your sliders, but the threshold change to 75 has me a little concerend in that respect. I am no slider expert by any strech of the imagination, but i am an rabid steelers fan, so if you take the above posters example, it is off base with regards to Lb play in the steelers scheme. In the 3-4 zone blitz the goal is to stuff the run and get to the qb quickly on pass plays so the lb's are larger but also quick off the ball... if the pass rushers are not able to get to the ball they have all sorts of problems because the the lbs are not able to cover receivers in the zone for very long because they are not very fast. All this being said I just started using the updated settings so i have yet to finish a game, I just hope that i don't see LB's with 70's speed playing shutdown coverage on slot receivers with mid to high 80's speed. Sorry for the long post, but i wanted to put my 2 cents in. Thank you again for all your hard work.

Re: Charter04's Madden 13 All-Madden Sim Sliders

So I played my first game with these updated sliders and overall I think they worked well. There are a few issues I noticed though...first there were way too many holding calls, there were 18 total penalties with at least 15 of those being holding calls in the game so I don't know if the holding slider is bumped up to to compensate for lack of any pass interference, but it just seemed a bit much. second, my 99 accuracy qb badly missed a couple of throws and eli manning (yes i was playing the giants) missed a few too including a screen but even payton manning misses on occasion so i will see how it plays out over a few games. The last thing that bothered me a little bit is amahd bradshaw absolutely walked over my steeler front 7 he had 106 yards on only 15 carries which is is 7 ypc. he had huge gaping holes to run through and would bounce of good tacklers like woodly, kiesel, and timmons. now I am in my 3rd season and bradshaw is probably top 5 rb in the league, has mid to high 90's in almost every skill atribute and the giants had a decent line, but I don't think that he should be ripping runs like that. Other than those things, I think the game played smoothly, my pass def was pretty good, taylor limited cruz to under 100 yds and even picked one off, and Manning threw for 300 yards but needed 55 attempts to get there. Over all I like what I see and hopefully the run D will improve against lesser competition.

One other thing I forgot to mention was the fatigue settings...while i did notice my DE's were subsituted a few times, my rb was never spelled the entire game and he had 30 carries and only a 83 stamina.

The higher the threshold the more the star players standout. After testing threshold we play on 100 and speed still comes into play. The fast players will always outrun the slower players. Highering the threshold just doesn't make speed the only thing that matters. It makes players that are slower actually usable.
