Explain to me how my logic is flawed.

So, in combining #1 and #2, how exactly is my logic flawed when saying I will have to purchase Madden360 this year since I really have no other options for an NFL game? Don't tell me to simply not purchase a game period, that sir is a copout.

I have purchased a football game , NCAA and NFL, for each of the last 6 or 7 seasons. ESPN was my preference, but now that there no longer will be a 2K sports NFL / NCAA football game...my choices are a bit limited. If I am willing to fork over 60 bucks that I have worked for, you bet your keister I will complain if there is something I don't like. You would think that since we keep beating the same old problems year in and year out, EA would wise up and do something about it. But, as you said...its been the same for the last XX years.

There is still a choice there. Are you required to play an NFL video game to survive? Are video games that much in control of your life that you can't function without playing them? When it comes to choosing an NFL video game, you have no choice. When it comes to whether or not you are going to purchase an NFL video game, you DO have a choice.

The same limited view. LOL. EA doesn't care what you think. They have millions of other people that will buy their game whether you buy it or not. Why should EA care? They release the same game every year and people buy it. By all means, complain about what you don't like, but beating a dead horse is futile. If you really believe that one day EA is going to come to OS and say, "Oh my God! We need to completely change our business model because these people are unhappy!" you're sadly mistaken. Until the sales significantly drop, EA isn't changing a thing. True, that sucks for people who love playing NFL video games, but it's worked for EA all these years.

Lemme ask ya this, ObiWan... What if there is still no real gang tackling in Madden '07? Or what if the OL/DL interaction is still the same in '08? Won't you be back on these boards complaining? Or are you resigned to just settling for whatever EA pumps out every year for the rest of your life?

I know your question is not directed at me, but to be honest with you... of late, I've found myself enjoying games of NCAA 2006 and NBA 2k6 a lot more than I have when ESPN NFL was around...

Just thought I'd mention that... while your choices for NFL football are now limited, you still do have options....

All this complaining comes from this exclusive liscence. I cant stand EA or the NFL for making this deal. Not only for limiting my choices, but for having people who hate Madden being "forced" to play the only NFL football game,lol. Rediculous.

I think it's pretty obvious that he's resigned to playing a game that he enjoys, which is what Madden is now and will be next year even if those aspects aren't improved.

Very good point. But I'm not sure that its also fair to ask some of the rest of us not to want more.

He's not saying that you can't want more, he just thinks that there's a line. He thinks that arguing animations based on screenshots is over the line.

I'm not sure why I'm stating his argument when I don't really agree with it.
