It's early but the new blocking dynamic looks promising.

Gone should be the days where your O-line man is unasigned and stands around doing nothing, or he drives past his initial block to get to the 2nd level right away leaving a guy unblocked to tackle your RB at the snap.

If the Defense flows better, and you can have success getting off blocks it could make for some very realistic Front 7 play.

Wow. I'm very impressed. Hopefully the OL attributes actually affect how well a lineman will read what;s happening and come off double teams to pick up blitzes etc.. That will add extra importance to drafting/free agency pickups.

IMO this new blocking mechanic screams...

"THIS IS NEXT GEN FOOTBALL !!!"

For the first time players like Jamal Williams will be huge difference makers.
You will actually be able to run a 3-4 the way its meant to be played !!!!

...And some people have the -nerve- to say they don't see the difference between Madden'08 and Madden'07...

I don't even need to see anymore videos...I just hope I don't soil myself when they show us how they've improved Franchise mode...

Let me start by saying this. I do not wish to start controversy. But I keep watching this over and over and it just looks like it could be the xbox/ps2 version. It has nothing to do with the quality of the video. It's the way the animations move. The player's animation is more tight and deliberate with each step and movement while next gen Madden seems more loose and less out of your control--not to mention bigger.

Seriously, they look like two different generations:

I could be wrong though.
