I hate cut scenes overall so I don't miss them. Yes, the dynamic aspect of the lighting is better in Madden 07 but everything else graphics wise Madden 08 just blows away all previous titles. And it's not even close either.

I'm noticing little things like the players pants shine and the helmets refelet light better than last year. I think some of the facial models took a step back for some players, but overall I like the way this one looks, and at 60fps, I can't beat it.

I'm using the PS3 version now(360 croaked)-so-last year's has the edge for me. Visually,IMO-they dropped the ball in a big way on the replays. It reminds me of the replays from the 04 version of Madden.

The only thing that looked better to me in Madden 07 was the grass. Other than that, 08 is a better-looking game at least judging by the player models, because they have much more proportion in 08 then they had in previous years. Also, some users here at OS have said that stadiums look worse, but I have to disagree with that. The stadiums look about the same as 06 and 07 on next-gen, although IMO the domes look much better than they did in the past two games.

It's the lighting. It was much better on '07.

Seeing the natural progression of time as well as shadows move during the course of a game was beautiful. Probably one of the only things I really enjoyed about '07.

The lighting in '08 is not as good, not even close. There is some overall detail missing as well, but enough to complain about. However, we gained smoothness, sharpness, brightness, and color (a little too much for some teams).

The tradeoff is fine. I do miss the progressive stadium shadows from '07, but no huge problem. I can live with it.

i miss the the 3-d grass

i think 08 is structured better ie player models and body types but the "Graphics" looked better in 07. Example when you close up in 07 you could see the stiching in the jerseys which is their in 08 but not as detailed. Also Helmuts had more shine in the 07 version (which has been documented that they had to downgrade it to get 60fps). ALso when you zoomed in really close on players faces in 07 they had slighty more deatil and crispness, but in 08 more players head scans are being used making then more identifiable (so it seems like it looks better if that makes any sense). YEah the lighting was better in 07's version with the shadows and stuff (yeah sometimes alittle oversone but it was nice). I gotta say though the lighting in dome fields is better in the 08 version because in the dome in 07 the lighting was alittle pinkish. The 3-d grass is all but gone in 08. PLus the camera is pulled back a little further in 08 taking away from some of the graphics. The closer the camera the better the graphics ie 06, 07, now 08 the camera has went further and further out
