Do Your Non-Internet Friends Complain About Madden?

One thing I notice about the complaints from my friends is that they dont know whats missing but they know something is missing... Most dont play
2K's brand of football so they dont know all the little things that are done right in that game but they do feel Madden has grown stale. I can say with out a doubt if there was another game with the NFL license EA would be in trouble... Just like with NBA Live people just appreciated the effort put into the other company's product and while some buy both BUT alot of of people switched completely

No my friends don't complain, but that's because they don't look up what's supposed to be new about it, or how it's supposed to work they just buy the game to enjoy it.

I think that's how it continues to sell, they don't analyze the game to the extent that we do because they somehow manage to realize that they don't have a clue how much work actually goes into the game, or how to fix anything in the game so they can't complain too much.

My friends aren't as hardcore as we are, but they do have some complaints, mostly as to why some things that are on ps2 aren't on the newer system games...and ironically cheesers that don't play close to a real game. Not as Sim as some of us, but they hate the shotgun all day, goalline dive type of players.

One thing I'd like to add is here at my work there is about 3-4 NOT hard core football gamers. They all miss ESPN football. They miss the presentation and really miss the half time show.
Two of them think Madden is boring, one actually got really into it last year. But he is the kind of guy that will like to be the Patriots and beat up on the Lions or something. I make fun of him all the time.

I don't personally know a single human being who buys Madden anymore. I used to know 6-8 buddies of mine who bought it every year and played it like madmen.
