agreed... this is my favorite part as well. Especially that passing over the middle is no longer suicide.

Re: What's the Name #1 thing you LOVE about Madden this year?

While I don't feel like I have an utmost #1, I must say this game has the best presentation i've yet to play in an EA Sports football game. Still doesn't touch NFL 2K5 but they're finally heading in that direction.

I think the Madden IQ is an absolutely excellent idea/feature. From what i've played of the game so far, i've made no adjustments to the settings myself and the CPU has always felt properly challenging. If I see it remaining that way the better I get at the game then its two thumbs up on this (tentative right now).

Overall, though, I think this is a solid, great football game. The gameplay feels smooth, deep, and realistic. It looks great (the sidelines look excellent), and again, the presentation pretty good.

As an owner of NCAA Football 09 as well, I have to say Madden is hands down the better game this year. It'd just be nice for next year, Madden to adopt NCAAF's playcalling mechanic that maps each visible play to a face button making it easier to conceal/bluff your call.

Indeed, this was improved with NCAAF as well. Fortunately for Madden players, the LBs seem to play their hook zones better, making it less money than in NCAAF (where you can practically drive all the way down the field doing just that)

You can do this in Madden 09. Hold the left trigger (360) or L2 (PS3) and a icon will pop up for each play.

I was breakin away pretty nicely with Santana Moss with Tom Brady throwing to him (Fantasy draft), so maybe it does work in Madden as well.

Ahh, well I guess it depends on abilities of the defenders then. In games i've played, there was more success defending it (for both me and the CPU) than i've seen in NCAAF. Maybe its still money, but it doesn't seem as bad.
