Re: Monday Patch Info from EA

If the initial impressions are right, and this patch in no way improves the run game for CPU I am going to pass on purchasing Madden 09 again. I returned it once, and do not wish to do so again. I think I will just ride out this year without a football game, and have some willpower next year and not purchase any ea sports games.

I know it has been said befores numerous times, but I agree with many people who have said that if even 1/4 of the people who buy every year just didn't in 2010 I bet we would see a game released in 2011 that is not a beta test for people to purchase.

Ok, I don't want to rant and bash EA. I do think it is impressive that Phil comes on and updates everyone on what is going on with the patches. I just wish the game didn't need 2-3 patches for it to be a functioning product. Hope everyone who gets the patch enjoy's it.

but why not just be patient and wait until tonite/tomorrow.. download the patch.. play the game yourself and see exactly what changes rather then getting all worked up now.

Why would you think the CPU running was going to improve with this patch, when the FULL details of the patch were explained several weeks ago and nowhere was CPU running mentioned?? I guess I just don't understand.....

Re: Monday Patch Info from EA

To anyone who has the patch:

I know this has been asked but i don't remember seeing it specifically addressed:

Does the progression only happen upon completion of a season or does it occur throughout the season...

Thanks...

Ok, I will explain. Obviously there are things that were fixed that could possibly enhace the running game potentially. Or at least things that were said by EA that were included. I would hope that the running back NOT running out of bounds with nobody around would improve the CPU running game.

And I know this is hard to actually fathom, but maybe since it is something that needed to be tweaked, maybe it is concentrated on even if it is not mentioned as an official "fix". It is kind of important to have the CPU run more than 20 times for 13yds.

Regardless, I am not here to debate or have flame wars with people at OS. So you are absolutey right, it wasn't mentioned so I should not assume that EA would think it is an important part of a football game. You 1 Me 0.

Ok, and on that note I really do help the patch helps the people who have the game, and makes it a better playing game for you.

What I don't understand is why EA don't address the real issue? The reason why we get Madden is because of the Franchise and Superstar modes. I don't bother to play online. And if they're already in the works, when is it going to be released? December?
