Hammond was a game killer for me this year. I traded the game in primarily because it was sooooo boring. And Hammond definitely had his hand in that.

Perhaps EA should change on how they sign commentators. Instead they should have tryouts. That way guys would really try to make it sound REAL. Then if they win, pay them the big bucks.

But what I would really like to see is the NFL Countdown crew for pre-game and post-game.

But, atmosphere needs to be improved on all fronts for sure. If not, I will be perfectly content playing APF 2K8 again.

Collinsworth in reality is probably the most annoying color guy in the NFL IMO, and is even worse on Madden. Hammond sucks too. You really can't do much WORSE.

Hammond sounds like a freakin robot on that game. It will be...a FIRST AND 10...for the...GIANTS....at the....24 yard line.

Hate to be a spoiler, but it was mentioned elsewhere by one of the members of the developement team that Hammond/Collingsworth are returning in 2010, but they will have more lines/better commentary flow.

That sucks. I was thinking that radio announceers tend to have alot more life when announcing a game. they scream and really get into it. I was going to ask for some good radio announcers, but the decision has already been made.

well it doesnt look like a bad decision anyway the majority here do like Collinsworth.

I personally dont like his commentary at all, but its not a big deal.

For some reason Colliinsworth and Bill walton the basketball announcer both really annoy me lol.

The problem with radio commentary is that it doesn't make match with a TV Broadcast (the style people have been asking for). Plus, I think the consensus is that the Radio guy needed to die.

Having said that, I still think radio stuff could've been incorporated into weekly highlights or something like ESPN does. That might've been cool.

Radio guys for each team are always the best.

They have a vested interest in the game. So they are emotional, excited, depressed.

I like Chris Collinsworth in Madden. He sounds very natural

My favorite football announcers are Dan Stevens and Peter O'Keefe. They sound like they are actually talking to each other and are very witty in their response to the action.
