Re: New Blog and Picture!!

OL-DL interaction in that picture is the biggest addition...

OT Starks extending his arms to push the OLB Laboy wide is what forms a pocket for the QB to step up into! Previous Madden releases have ALWAYS had the OT and DE/OLB squared up and that led to the creepy looking effect of having the OL standing in front of the QB parallel to the goalline, dancing in place...it also led to problems with the OL-DL interactions in general...

The OG-DT interaction in that picture seems to indictae something else of very large importance - hand-fighting on the lines to establish leverage! I have no idea if it will be true or not from a single screenshot, but that would be a monumental improvement in the line play as well...

The total package that Ian is putting in front of us in the Blogs and the announcements and now the picture is really looking great. I know that many of the suggestions we see here have been asked for over a few years now on next-gen, but we just may be getting exactly what we have been screaming for in this release...

Keep up the great work Ian and pass on my congrats to the team for making a very big positive splash with this so far!

Re: New Blog and Picture!!

I was about to say that. The linemen are doing two different animations unlike previous Maddens.

Re: New Blog and Picture!!

I'm not trying to sound biased...

But with the whole "Fight for every yard" statement, I was thinking maybe Brandon Jacobs. In the league right now, he's the epitome of power backs and grinding out the extra yards.

I can't picture him as a cover athlete though.
