1)Who doesn't want more interaction? Ian and the gang are doing us a great service by being here.

2)It's quite brilliant. Brilliant. They know millions of people will buy Madden regardless. No need in overwhelming them with blogs and interaction and the such. It's the hardcore community that has soured on them the last couple of years. Pacify them and you take the heat off of your game from a whole different base.

But honestly, every year Madden claims they have "fixed" the game. And the same issues come up in the game that have been going on for 1,2,3.....er 15 years. I remember when Madden 2004 was supposed to be the second coming of Jesus Christ (there was even this overweight developer shamefully hyping the game up while putting NFL Fever and 2K down every chance he got). Turns out that game was the biggest cheesefest in the history of cheesefest video games.

Sorry, but I've been a pessimist of this video game for 9 years (except Madden 2003 which was quite good) and I will not stop now.
Rocky, I'll say his name-DAVID ORTIZ-and I got a few other names for him, but I'll let it go. I can say I was skeptical as well, but not any more. Even if Ian and crew can't get everything in 010 this year, I can see that Madden is now in great hands now. I haven't been this excited about a game since 2K5 and it's Football Fridays. So now we have Madden 10 and Madden Mondays. You know things have changed when someone pointed out about Big Ben's size in the original screen shot, and the guys went out and made him bigger. When in the hell has that EVER happened with EA? It's to the point that I can say I trust Ian and crew are doing everything they can to finally put the beast that is 2K5 out to pasture. Keep up the good work guys. Peace.

I try not to post here because I am really critical of Madden next gen and even last gen Madden. NFL 2k5 is the best NFL game and APF2k8 is the best playing football game IMO but I have to give props to this current team and hope for the best.

Peace
Do I hope for it to be the best? Absolutely. It does anybody no good hoping for a bad NFL game to play this year.

But I'm weary of being disappointed year after year...even after I've poured my pessimism into the game and these boards the last two years in particular. I'm a sucker.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, everybody who doesn't say AWESOME!!!1 in every post isn't a straight up *****.

(PS. Grunt, APF started to grow long-toothed to me. It's the tremendous ACQB league that has rekindled my interest. All the drama that has went down in the league, I could do without and however and if it keeps going the way it is, I would rather not return. So I'm especially hoping for Madden to be good this year while being extremely pessimistic).

Re: Just 4 months ago...I think we're turning a corner...

Obviously I think the abusive boyfriend analogy applies based on EAs past behavior but not Ian. Still though, if Ian pulls this off it will be a dream come true but if he fails it might be the biggest let down of I"ve experienced(in the greater scheme of things very small) but I don't get let down very often. Here's to hoping he comes through but I'm not surrendering anything until it's all said and done.

funny thing about all this is I never had a problem with Madden until they didn't drop the online dynasty last year. Now I've spent so much time playing NCAA I could really care less, but college football ain't the NFL. It was my intention to only buy Madden based off of Online Franchise, but I've been playing a $H!t load of MLB The Show myself and baseball usually gets old quick to me. If they can match The Show's offline play, then I will pick this up no problem. It's strictly the principal

Football Fridays... Awww Man... I forgot all about those. Yeah, those were sweet.

Anyway, I'm hopeful--and willing--to finally putting that game to rest for good. I play that game and have fun, all the while with a very controlled anger just wishing I didn't have to anymore, lol.

But in Madden's case, they are the last man on Earth. So, we (being the girlfriend) need to visit Madden occasionally if we have needs to be met, in spite of the potential drawbacks. Besides, maybe he'll change?

(Damn, it is hard to justify still liking Madden with that analogy. Although Madden has never been physically or emotionally abusive with me, so maybe it is too extreme for my use. At worst I've thought "Hmmm, $60? Maybe $30, but not $60."

He was more than a joke. He was a m-let me stop. It's no need to speak Lucifer's name anymore.

I'm glad that he is gone and that we have Ian now too (and I'm pretty sure every madden fan is) but that's pretty harsh lol.
