So the consumer is speaking up saying "I WANT GOOD GAMEPLAY" Think about it for a second. Do you think we would have this discussion "every two weeks" If madden stepped up to the plate since then and made a product that top it??

I think these kind of topics would vanish as soon as a better game is released.
Precisely, and this is exactly what Ian has said in one of his mission statements...to stop people comparing Madden to 2K football.

I for one will be only too pleased when we can finally put 2K to bed, not because I don't like it (I love it and it rarely leaves my xbox tray) but because Madden has at last bettered it.

why not track down the original 2k5 programmers and design team and bring them onto the madden project. imagine what they could do with todays resources. imagine what it would be like to have the features of madden 2020, but be able to play that game in 2011 or 12.

not trying to hate, just being realistic.
Because EA is in the business of making money?

The 2k football titles had their admirers, but their sales figures were to (put it kindly) weak. The only time they topped a million units sold was NFL 2k5, but they had to practically give the thing away to do it.

you want me to leave cause i make a suggestion to make the game better? thats silly.

im sorry i dont sugar coat anything. my logic is this: if im working on my car and the screwdriver is too short, i think...ill get a longer screwdriver...

in this case its not a screwdriver we are talking about, its the dev team for the only NFL video game that is available.

I feel you about 2k5. It still is in collection. Best $1.99 ever spent. Plus my $40 Xport. So for 42 bucks, I've had a lot of fun. But it can't hold a candle to Fifa09. That's why I'm hoping that Ian and Co. can build a great football game with all the newest tech toys and great gameplay and presentation to boot. Then I'll finally be able to retire my beloved 2k.... I'm really tired of Chris Berman telling me it's 2004 again....

Nobody wants you to leave. But it would be nice to have a realistic scenario that would help make a better game for us all.....
