I don't think think the answer to the question can be derived from the information available to us. Was this an actual true work of art or did the current economic climate force companies to make their employees work harder to achieve maximum results; whereas, in the past they were allowed to freestyle and add minimal improvements? Was this team given additional resources the prior team did not have access to during the development process? There are a million questions that must be answered before we can truly provide one to this.

You are right. Phil Frazier deserves a lot of credit as well. He Is the one who put the team together. Sorry about that Phil.

..at best

Another thing though is direction. We as sports fans first..video game fans 2nd see Madden 10 as a pretty accurate representation of the real thing...which is great, and thats why we love it so much already.

NCAA on the other hand is very still very arcade based, appeals to the younger, casual gamer, and obviously has no intentions of delivering a sim experience. That team either has to drastically change their beliefs & attitudes, or a completely new team has to come in order to provide us with the type of game we want.

Re: Is Ian and his team on a whole other level then other game designers?

Ian and his crew have been performing at a tremendous level this year and it is evident in his videos. He has basically used the OS community as a means to visually and physically put his product through the ringer and the final product is coming out unbelievable.

Ian and his team are talented but I think it's their dedication to take Madden to the next level is what separates them from the NCAA crew right now.

I refuse to believe that Ian would have released videos that are of the quality of what NCAA is showing right now.
