Better Gameplay: Head Coach 09 or Madden 10?

Just to say, I'll never get rid of Head Coach unless they make an updated version. Now most of us who extensively play Head Coach already knows that the franchise model cannot be touch when it's compared to Madden. Madden has a loooooong way to go to come close to the franchise model Head Coach has.

But I want to pose a different question, how do most people think about the gameplay of Head Coach and the gameplay of Madden? Which I assume that people who played both games play Madden in coach mode.

I like the Head Coach gameplay but Madden might be a tad better.

I thought Head Coach 09 sucked. Madden 10 & 09 > HC 09

Well it's a little unfair to compare Madden 10 to HC 09 as far as gameplay considering in HC you didn't get to actually play the games.

However, I will still take HC09 over Madden 10 for franchise mode any day of the week....period.

HC '09 was for intelligent football gamers, so maybe that's why you thought it sucked.

As far as gameplay goes Madden is better. The animations, graphics, especially the player models which are fantastic are much better in Madden 10.

I'm dreaming of a HC '09 and Madden 10 Hybrid. It would be totally sick, with 30 year Franchises and more draft pics, and an extra point show with actual highlights. Man, I would quit my job, leave my wife and become a gaming hermit.

I have to say my biggest issue with Madden 10 is once again the Franchise mode, why they didn't incorporate more of HC is beyond me. They bring in Josh and Donnie but yet it's the same Madden crap franchise from every other year. HC made FA and the draft fun and meaningful. This is just plain bad and boring. Bringing HC rookies in helps but not even close to enough.

I will end by saying Madden 10 is much better than last year's version but in many ways Head Coach is still more addicting.

HC'09 has superior artificial intelligence and playcalling-logic.

Madden'10 has superior animations and the Pro-Tak technology.


Personally, I prefer HC'09, both on and off-the-field.

Overall I still say HC09 is better, but on the field its not even close Madden 10 for sure. HC09 with Madden 10 in-game would be the best game in history (any genre) IMO.

Yea and based on all the bugs and glitches that is present in Madden 10, I think I'm gonna head back over to HC09 and play that again. When EA puts out some patches to fix alot of the issues with Madden 10, then I'll go back.

Just wish there was a way to update the rosters in HC09.
