I played a season with the Lions and got the 3rd pick. I took Taylor Mays. It wouldn't allow me to sign him, I signed everyone else, traded my current FS, cleared a lot of cap space, nothing would work. I hoped he would be a FA.

I did the rest of the offseason and then went to the FA. He isn't there. I check the rosters and he is on the 49ers, rated 93 and making 350k.

This is ****ed, my whole franchise is screwed. This isn't how the NFL works, why is it in the game?

I googled it to see if anyone else had info on it, and this forum came up. And then I made an account. I don't have an old account...

It's a bug.

The workaround is to sign the rest of your players then go to franchise option and change "sign rookies" to CPU controlled then go back to the offseason screen and simulate the rest of the rookie signings...

This will sign your 1st Rd pick.
