Re: This is getting ridiculous...

Dude, you are missing the point of the accelerated clock. It's to help simulate the time in a real game. In the last 2 minutes of each half the teams don't take their time calling plays and hiking the ball. If you notice in a real NFL game, during the regular course of a game, they usually don't hike that ball until around 5 seconds left on the play clock, normally. So, when a user is playing the CPU, you can play a full 15 minute quarters with the accelerated clock on and not have the CPU hike the ball at about 25-30 seconds left on the play clock. It simulates the natural progression of a game. To use the accelerated clock on 5 or even 7 minute quarters makes no sense. So, during the last 2 minutes you can have time to call your plays like real life and then get them off. If you are ahead and want to run down the clock, you just wait to snap the ball until time winds down. Hope this helps you understand the concept a little better.

Exactly.

What you said makes absolutely no sense. During the last 2 minutes teams have to run no huddle offenses to save time. In this game it's the complete opposite, which makes zero sense. BTW by your signature you look like quite the frontrunner.

Im sorry, but I have to ask.

How are you a Steeler fan, Yankee fan, Laker fan, Miami Cane fan, and a Tar heel fan?

Just curious

I have to agree with this here. Your argument kinda contradicted itself. Accelerated clock is bas-ackwards . You have 12-15 secs at the line of scrimmage all game and then, at the most important parts of the game, you have all day to sit there and audible and do whatever you like. If accelerated clock stayed on the whole time you would have to run a real hurry up offense and spike the ball and all that stuff. You don't have to now. It would be cool if they could get that in there.

BTW - I also agree with the front runner part.
