Onside Kick

How does the onside kick work? You can't change direction with it, nor can you put it into the ground immediately to pop it up. I spent some time on it in practise, and never even came close recovering the ball.

Re: Onside Kick

For righty kickers place the cursor on the top right of the ball and make sure the power meter is very low. Lefty kickers on the top left of the ball. After the kick switch to a player and start either hit sticking or diving. I have recoved about 3-4 kicks out of the 40 I've tried....but the odds are less than 1 in 10 to recover....good luck

Re: Onside Kick

Here's how I do it in single player games.

When it's time to kick an onside kick, I move my controller to "spectate", and let the CPU kick for me.

It may be cheesing, but it gives me at least a chance.

Re: Onside Kick

Hahaha, I remember in the old Maddens you could switch out of kicking if you pressed B right away so that is what I used to do. Now I just don't even try and hope my D can stop them.

Re: Onside Kick

I put i9t on the top right for righties and do 50-75% power. I have recovered around 25% of my kicks in NCAA and Madden.
