We need a better way to identify how people play.

Something of this caliber needs to be done...i ride and die with the Bucs all day and my record shows it...i'm like 20 gms below .500 and a good amount of those gms were against guys who cheese...i would love to have a lobby where you have to use your favorite team only with their playbook...like last year when EA added the HB direct snap to TB playbook everyone was using it like crazy...it's a shame anything to glitch...and i got my copy of madden late last yr so when i use TB playbook everyone was like "why you using TB playbook they patched the glitch" and i'm like "dawg i only use TB's playbook" and they're like "yea right"...use your team and they're playbook ppl

Seriously here... Get rid of the online rankings unless playing in online tournaments, or leagues... This forces people to play for fun and not simply winning, and it also forces people to play right because if they cheese, glitch, or other, they simply get black listed within their organized events... End of story... The "win at all cost" American mentality is what's killing online... What is it spured by? Online stats. Remove online stats and winning no longer matters...

Great ideas, DNF% is not the best indicator b/c as someone else mentioned I will quit if I am playing a cheeser. It would be good if it could track the % that you go for it vs. punt it on 4th down.

And what level of these % would be consider "cheese" vs being unconventional or more aggressive with playcalling?

If I have a mobile QB, I will not stand like a statue. I will scramble, get out of the pocket. Maybe run if I see an opening and you're in man, etc. If I scramble "a lot" would I be considered a "cheeser" because my % might be higher than what you might consider "pure sim play"?

Same for going for it on 4th down. If it's 4th and 1 and I'm at say your 40, I'm probably going to go for it, especially if I have a good running team and my defense is pretty solid (or your offense is having a bad day). So if I do that more often than most, would I be considered some kind of "cheeser"?

Who cares? That has nothing to do with having the option to see someone's play-style and decide if you want to play them.

That's the issue at discussion, not what you think is cheese or not.

For some players you would be. The key thing is that it would let certain gamers make a decision to avoid playing against you. Which is totally fine, because there would still be thousands and thousands of players who would have no issue at all playing you.

Its Win-Win. People don't have play a game against people who are going to do things that make the game not fun for them.

In a way, it does, because of the option is there, then that's the next step.

There will be a certain level that most in the community won't go over, imo.

So where is/should that line be? Should it be flagged (i.e. should EA put that % in red or something)?

Or should there just be a % and that's it? How many % would be needed to define a play-style?

A feedback/rating system would make more sense/should be included with just the "naked" %. There probably will be things people do that might not be captured in the %s but would also make the game be not fun/questionable, etc.

Feedback/rating is terrible IMO.

The community is not mature enough to police their own that way. People lose and hit you with a poor rating out of spite.

Just state the facts and let people decide whether or not to play you, that's all. If I see someone with a 85% tendency to throw to the flats, I don't want to play the guy, whether it's "realistic" or not.
