Catching problem

One thing I find annoying, which isn't a bigg deal for me, is when a player drops a pass the same animation plays as if he did. It goes for both offense and defense. They need to add actual drop ball animations not just the catch animations where the receiver has an invisible ball in his hands.

They need to fix catching as a whole 9 out of 10 times the dropped ball actually bounces off the receivers hands its ****ing annoying as hell.

Every time I read something that is negative, but true in regards to Madden... I get a little sad.

Re: Catching problem

Just add some bobble drop animations or ones where the receiver does something that makes it obvious he drops the pass. Just something to add to the realism but not a big deal not to have.

Re: Catching problem

Agreed, and would also like to see some control return to user in so far as user catch animations being triggered based on how you hit the button (tap, press, hold) as it is now you just hit the button and pray you get the right animation, unless you know the good ole boys super secret button press to go "rocket catching"!!!

Re: Catching problem

^^ Mighty morphing madden players. I agree the catching style is too random. However, the catch debugging tool "should" help. But I just want some variety in dropped passes animation.

Re: Catching problem

I've never really even thought about this, but you are right...there are no animations where the receiver drops the ball and acts as if he knows he dropped it...its just continues the catch animation minus the ball being there.

Sigh...
