why do they not let Gus just commentate on a ton of games and take those recordings and turn them into the lines for the game. I mean, they can still record each name, number, and position, but just listen to the whole fumble commentary. That sounds better than anything we have heard so far.

That would make a lot more sense. It seems like they took the lazy route and just had him re-record lines from last year.

Why don't they use some of the real life game commentary that Gus has called in the past? Tons of hours worth of commentary already there.

you make it sound so simple...

i imagine its alot more complicated than that...it has to be recorded in a studio for one. they have to be able to piece together lines to make it more specific to the situation in-game. they cant just take old commentary because a) EA probably doesn't own the audio b) the sound quality/tone would probably vary and sound weird when put in madden, and c) most of the lines wouldn't make any sense when put with the gameplay.
