Madden 11 best run game to date?

what are you talking about?....I'm talking about that one play, NOT the whole video.....this thread is about the "running game" in football titles..NOT if a game in your opinion overall, being "Junk"....don't take it further than that, doesn't matter if you own it.

and can you explain to me why that one play I am talking about is the "worst example" of a running play you have ever seen?.....what is so bad about it? the animations look realistic, the transitions in between animations are not noticeable compared to other football games.....the Oline and Dline look realistic right there.....FB did a good job of helping the center....and the Wide receiver did a good job of coming back to help block....

again I am talking about that one play when it pertains to video game running.....NOT which game I feel is better.

I love how the defensive line flow and and the offensive line flow with it. It's a thing of beauty now. It's a less chaotic violent struggle.

APF2K8 run game is a good 3 years ahead of Madden's. Madden (finally) has assignments right, but when it comes to gap containing, leverage, running back physics, 2K is still light years ahead of EA games.

I've got 4 games into Madden 11, 3 of which are against the CPU and I can safely say the CPU can and will rush the ball all over you in some games. This is really the first year that I've ever really feared the CPU rushing game like I do a humans.

I agree with the bolded. I do think this is EA's best run game ever though.

APF2k8 still has the best ever.

Run game in Madden is good this year though. Animations really shine during replays. Blocking still needs some work. Speed threshold needs to be worked out a bit...really need in-play fatigue which doesn't seem to be happening

Madden 11 definitely has great fatigue modelling.

Best run blocking? Maybe.

Best overall run game? Definitely not.

Until the tackling system gets away from canned animations and becomes physics-based, Madden's run game will always be behind titles like All Pro Football and Backbreaker.
