Is there any way to get the cpu to use a created game plan?

I have been trying to figure this out for a while now. How do you get the cpu to use a game plan you create and then use a different one yourself?

I know at the controler select screen you press x and can select it there, but then when you back out to go to your team and change it, I don't think it keeps the one for the cpu.

If I try it with 2 controllers it doesn't let me select a game plan because those are tied to the profile which would be on controller 1. I tried searching for an answer but I am getting an error message

Before you start the game, press X on the CPU's team. Then set their gameplans. Back out of that and go to your team and press X. Then set up your gameplans and accept.

I know it works because I just did this in my franchise after making a gameplan for everybody and the Bills ran plays I specifically have in their book.

Are you controlling just one team or all 32 in your franchise?

Thanks for your help... you were right... I created a test gameplan that only had 1 play in it and the cpu used that gameplan despite it being so lame.

People talk about how there were no improvements to franchise this year, but this is atually a pretty big deal in franchise if you use it right.

Do you know if you start a game with two teams who have custom gameplans, and then super sim that game from the first play of the game if the gameplan effects the sim at all?

I don't know if it affects SuperSim or just sim. That would be something to try though. Maybe create a gameplan that has one run play for every situation and see if the sim has that team running every down.

Why didn't they think to make something as simple as the ability to assign gameplans to all 32 NFL teams from the gameplan screen? Or atleast give us the option to actually edit the default gameplans.
