Where are the QB matchup breakdowns in franchise mode?

KC vs Denver has a pretty good intro saying how Josh McD tried to get Cassel and talks about Orton.

It just seems lazy that they intros in the franchise are always the same, did they not bother to test the game or something ?

Its pretty frustrating a few years into franchise and it talks about storylines from last season in year 5. I hear about stafford being a rookie and aaron rodgers taking the reigns a 2 years ago.

My advice is never believe anything Ian says. Over 300 intro's apparently.. I've heard about 10.

So I downloaded the latest patch last night, and played a game in my Off-Line Franchise...

To my surprise I got a unique QB intro for Manning and Brady in my Pats Vs. Colts game.

Was this fixed in the patch? I didnt see it mentioned... But I defintetly got one instead of the generic intro I got every other game..

Anyone else notice this?

same thing happened to me. Played the Eagles, and it had a Romo/Kolb story line and really added a lot of emotion to the game. I had never heard them before (I never play exhibition games), so it was a welcomed addition. But then last night, I play cardinals, and they had the same generic storyline of 2 qbs (anderson vs. romo, so obviously there is nothing really to talk about there). I hope it is fixed, it really needs to be. And for God's sake, next year, can we talk about more than just quarterbacks? Let's hear about defense, or coaches, or a teams win streak or playoffs, etc. Weather? Anything! Mix it up!

Wow, good news to hear.

When I get off work later Im gunna play my Pats chise vs. the Jets. I'm sure there is one for Sanchez and Brady, we'll see if it works.

Its strange that they seemed to have addressed this bug, but yet made no mention of it in the patch#4 notes.... surely this will make some people happy, why not mention that they fixed it?

Oh well....

There's still the issue of several other well known, well documented bugs, some of which have been around for years.

-The IR bug.
-Tackle stats bug.
-Rookie FA contract demand bug.
-Accelerated clock over-running bug.

Especially the IR bug. Thats going on 2 years now.!

oh well... at least they fixed this bug.


Speaking of bugs, ever wonder where the term "bug" comes from?

In 1945 when Engineers were working on MARK II Aiken Relay Calculator one of the transistors had stopped functioning. MARK II Aiken Relay Calculator was a huge computer, the size of a room in-fact. The Engineers found out soon that a moth had died and became stuck on one of the transistors. Grace Hopper, one of the workers, said she had "de-bugged" the computer. From that point of when something went wrong they would say "Maybe the system has another bug." And over the years the term just stuck.

Now that I think about it, I had my game against the Eagles and then Skins in my Dallas 'chise, and there was a story line bout Kolb and Romo, and then Storyline bout McNabb and Romo. Only one I didn't have since the patch is game last night against Cardinals with Derek Anderson. Of course there is absolutely NOTHING between those 2, so maybe that is by chance and this "bug" is fixed??

I have played two diffrent games in my off-line franchise after the patch and both have had diffrent QB intros!

Vikings vs Green Bay and Vikings vs Patriots.

Before it was always the old ".. have been here before..."

Wonderful to get some variation, realy adds to the game!
