As long as it's random between real life weather patterns in that geographic region, I'd go with random.

Although, I think having the option of having it user-decided is alright as well.

I'm hoping that they do fix it so it's randomized and so it makes sense regionally, but I'd just like the user option just in case we do want to change it.

I agree and I voted for the option to have it in. It seems like so many options that the majority of us gamers like seem to have been taken away over the years.
