Re: Shutdown CBs?

That's a point, you shouldn't always press, in general, I try not to press unless in specific situations, mostly when I rush 5 or maybe even 6, but I always try to have one safety deep when I do, and I always try to user a blitzer and hope to get to the QB really quick and only in short yardage situation where it doesn't really matter whether they pick up 5 or 15 yards. Otherwise, I try to stay away from bump coverage.

Thats becouse the Jets have a lot better defense than the Raiders overall.

Be careful with the press, some defensive calls do it automatically. If you call "Cover 1 Press" it doesn't matter if you call press manually or not, the CBs will still be bumping.

In terms of dl/lbs they do, but there is no better PRESS/man coverage team in madden than the Okland Raiders. If Nnamdi is giving up more than 2( Close to the number of interceptions he averages, a game, in my franchise.) receptions a game then something is wrong. Can you post the sliders you play on?

Re: Shutdown CBs?

There are too many things that could be causing your problems, but corners with 99 man coverage actually show an "obvious" flaw in the game. That flaw being that defenders play man by running routes with, or even ahead of the receiver they are covering. As others have said, top flight corners are actually "unfair" against the computer.

Same goes with Cover 3 Press. The corners on the outside will jam the receivers then try to get to their deep zones, which is damn near impossible half the time. I really don't understand the point of this defense. It isn't a realistic defense and doesn't make much sense.

Re: Shutdown CBs?

There's no such thing as a shutdown corner this year. Hell there's no such thing as defense this year.
